For those who may not have seen it - the City of Boerne forwarded a Press Release late Thursday regarding the postponement of the public hearing for the re-zoning of 14+ acres located at 17 Herff. Note use of the word "postponement". The Developer can request this be placed back on the agenda at any point in the upcoming months. "Rezoning request for the Legacy at Cibolo development at 17 Herff Road is being postponed at the developer's request. There will not be a public hearing or a council agenda item related to this development on the September 26 City Council agenda. Late Thursday, September 21, the City was notified that the Carbon Companies, developers of Legacy at Cibolo, the 26.6-acre luxury high-end retail and residential mixed-use development planned for 17 Herff Road, has requested a postponement of the Boerne City Council’s scheduled September 26 vote on the developers’ request to rezone a portion of the tract from MU-1 to R-4. Ed Garahan, CEO of The Carbon Companies, said the company has not yet had the opportunity to fully convey the comprehensive information about the request to the public. Since the request for rezoning is being postponed, there will be no public hearing on the City Council agenda for September 26, 2017."
